I know lots of people question the blazer jeans look, but I like it. At any rate, I am primarily concerned about the sleeves. They seem a bit long, but I am not sure whether they are long enough to warrant the $20 alteration atop the cost of the jacket itself. Also, I tend to like something that covers 3/4 of the butt. This is a bit on the long end, but I figure that the cut is good enough that the length isn't a big deal. Thoughts

Edit: Looking at the front on picture, it seems that the only reason the sleeves appeared acceptable was that they scrunched up a bit. This didn't happen in the side pic, so they look long. As such, I expect that they will need to be shortened by a 0.5-1 inch...

I had a jacket similar to this fit. Took me 1.5 years to finally take it to the tailor to get the sleeves shortened half an inch. I wear it more because of this. Previously I hated the sleeves and didn't wear it as much. It is up to you but if you will wear this frequently, do yourself a favor and get the sleeves shortened.

I am usually a 44R in all my other SCs, including some tailored fit options. I was looking for a blazer with minimal structure, and patch pockets.
This looks too tight in the arms and possibly the body. It looks ok when I don't move, but any motion is a bit restricted.

Going one size bigger like make this look even longer, and with the patch pockets, shortening it may look funny.
I considered switching to the Regular fit, but it's a full 2 inches bigger at the chest.

How do you think this looks?

Fit of 3 Blazers

I finally received the blazers I ordered from Yoox. I am interested in feedback on the fit. The tan model is a LBM 1911 model 2808. It is short in the tail and has a high button stance. The navy model is 2801. It is a more classic fit. And the baby blue is a model 2509 from Luigi Bianchi Rough. All are sized 50R in euro sizing. Any constructive input is appreciated!

It looks too long in the arms and tail to me, but the shoulders don't look bad. The arms can be fixed, not so sure about the tail.

I was planning to get half an inch from both. I already have a suit jacket at my tailor for shortening of the body so I will see how that goes.

I think I can get half an inch off and not compromise the patch look.

The upper arms feel tight though...

[MENTION=12115]doomx[/MENTION], try pulling up your picture and compare it directly to the model's picture side-by-side. it looks like your sleeves and the jacket length are longer. (also the pants are looser). the shoulder and waist look good. I bet the model might also be feeling a little restricted in the chest and shoulders, but it looks good, and it comes with the territory.

you have some big guns, so your arms look tight when you cross them. its up to you whether it feels too tight in the arms to tolerate.

Check your album again - it was showing the same few pictures of the light blue multiple times (at least for me).

[MENTION=11679]Sudonihm[/MENTION]: Could you rotate the pictures? Hard to view with a tilted head. From the pictures here are my 2 cents:

1. Sleeve length consideration: LBM 1911's (mine at least) have functional buttons on the sleeves. The navy one looks much too long and you'll want to factor in ease/cost of adjusting sleeve length.
2. Collar gap: The LB Rough has a collar gap when you're wearing a tee shirt. Try it on with a dress shirt or whatever you'd normally wear it with and see if the collar gap remains or is at least reduced. I can't see the top of the collar on the other two SCs. My guess is that collar gap exists for the navy as well. That one seems to fit you most loosely and would likely need the most tailoring from what I can tell.
3. Back shoulders: On the navy SC, there's bunching of fabric on the side profile photo at the shoulders which could be due to posture, fit, etc. Shoulder width seems to be okay, but make sure it's not too wide.

IMO, the tan LBM 1911 looks like the best fit and requires least tailoring. It's shortest in length, but proportionally, it still looks good on you. If it were just a tad bit longer, it'd be a definite keeper for me. I also don't have a problem with the button stance. Second would be the LB Rough and the navy is third. General recommendation is to pair with what you'd actually wear under the SC to get a better since of fit.

I think it looks good and the jacket length covers your rear. Something looks a bit odd to me with the sleeves; are they slanted?

Because it does cover your seat, however from the front and sides it looks chopped, particularly in relation to your arm length. At 5'9" I'd expect you'd need a 29" overall length, at least. Of course for a sportcoat, I don't mind a shorter jacket, but for a suit I prefer a more classic length.

As i said, I think (just my opinion here) it looks a little short in length - not too short necessarily, but seems a trendier rather than classic length. Are you sure you got the size right, according to the London Fit size advisor the length on that jacket should be closer to 30" (29.9" to be exact)?

Otherwise the suit looks good on you, and the jacket seems to hit all the right places except overall length, as discussed. It appears to fit you similarly to this J.Crew 40S on me (from earlier in this thread):





I ended up exchanging the jacket for a 40R to get the extra overall length, even though it will require tailoring in the sleeve length. Also, I think its a bit more obvious on a lighter colored suit like this one than the darker blue of the SS you're wearing.

I don't think the measurements on the size advisor are accurate. The 34R Napoli is listed as having a 29.1" back length, but it was even shorter than the London's back length, which I measured at 28.25". I think you can use the size advisor to compare different cuts relative to each other, but not as actual measurements of the suits.

I don't think I can return or exchange the suit because it has been altered, but I guess I can see if a tailor can do do something for the jacket length.
