I like it. Could definitely work for. Chest, shoulders, waist, and sleeves look great. Maybe just a tad short in the tail but that isnt a deal breaker. Its not like you look like your wearing some kind of trendy blazer by any means.

I bought a Brooks Brothers Fitzgerald suit on ebay based on listed measurements. I know the trousers and jacket sleeves need to be shortened, but I am unsure about the rest of the fit. What do you all think? Also, excuse the oxford shirt and loafers, as I am traveling for work, and don't have anything else to wear with the suit right now. https://imgur.com/a/LCV8Z
Thanks!

A quick question on chest fit for shirts:
http://imgur.com/a/cgTZa#VkBowcP
What is too tight? For all of these shirts the top buttons don't pull the placket when my shoulders are relaxed/forward, but as soon as I move them back (or do any sort of movement), they pull to varying degrees. This makes me think the chest is too tight, but I recently went for a swim in - I mean tried on - an LL Bean shirt in their traditional fit (Medium), and even then I could pull at the buttons if I moved my arms back, so that makes me think it's something I shouldn't worry about.
Stripes: Gap outlet slim oxford S
Green: Jcrew slim S
White: JCF reg S
Red: Jcrew slim M (also pulls when I bring my shoulders back)

Hello all,
First time poster here. I've just started buying some nicer clothes (the 30th birthday and a wedding made that happen) and am still getting a feel for fit and proportion. I've been looking for an unstructured khaki blazer for the spring/summer and have, currently in my possession, the Uniqlo linen-cotton blazer and the JCrew washed linen blazer from last season (discussed here by Joe), both size S. The Uniqlo definetely fits a bit snugger around the shoulders and is shorter:
More following, next post.

Here is the JCrew:
The JCrew is obviously a bit longer. Like I said, I'm still trying to get a feel for fit and proportion and am worried that the JCrew is a bit *too* long on me. I'm 5'6.5'' for reference.
(The sleeves on both obviously need to be shortened).
Thoughts on fit? Specifically, thoughts on the length of the JCrew? Thanks much in advance!

Uniqlo looks too short, and gives impression that it's too small.
Jcrew really flatters your body. The low button elongates your body. You look slimmer (in a good way).

It’s my 1st time posting in this forum. I just bought the Ludlow Suit after advice from others on Dappered and am looking for advice on how it fits and what I should get tailored.

I am a 5’9’’ and 150lbs. The 36R suit seems to fit great in the shoulders and sleeve length is appropriate to show ½ inch of shirt. It seems a slightly tight in stomach area but that could just be me not being used to well-fitting clothes. (My stomach/waist has grown in past year due to 12hr sitting at computer job). The 34/30 pants fit well on waist and length is appropriate but could be taken in a little near the legs. I struggled to take good pictures but hopefully these paint a good picture of how it fits on me.

I also want to make sure this Banana Republic shirt that I bought fits good on me. My problem always seems to be that my arms aren't big enough and shirts tend to be big in the armpit area (but I've been lifting lately to get stronger and fill out shirts better).
Thank you in advance for feedback. Very much appreciated.
