    Myself, I like the frayed edge vs. the cuff...but it's all preference.

    I'd say as long as the cuffs don't add too much bulk they're probably fine.

    I just had two pairs of chinos that I didn't need turned into shorts by my alterations lady. I didn't think about what to tell her to do about the cut part, so she left them as cuffs.


    One pair is about an inch above my knees, the other is about 2. Sorta like these:
