    Help me find quality shoelaces

I have a 3 eyelet pair of suede desert boots in need of some new laces in the 24" to 27" range. I tried ShoeLacesExpress.com and recommend you never make the mistake I did. It's been over a month since I ordered from them and my order hasn't arrived despite claims on their end of re-sending the shipment multiple times.

Anyway, I'd like the laces to be round, waxed and colorful. If any of you know a solid online source or a place in NYC, I'd really appreciate it. Currently looking at Benjos, but they don't have shorter lengths in a round style.

These may not be thick enough for what you are looking for, but AE has 30" laces for $1 with free shipping:

Have you checked out the Knottery yet?

I ordered three pairs (green, yellow and teal) and will provide feedback when they arrive!

Are these appropriate for dress shoes? I have a pair of Lexington's and Park Ave's

@forbrit: If you're refering to the AE's that runner-guy posted, then certainly.

@alan:Awesome. What length should I buy if I wear 12's? And color for burgundy?

It's going to depend on the number of eyelets, lace pattern, etc. The easiest way is to just remove your existing laces and measure them. For burgundy shoes, you'll want the brown laces. At a dollar each, though, you could even pick up several for the NEXT time you need a pair.

I had a pretty good order experience with Shoelacesexpress.com recently. Everything arrived within 4 days and was correct. My only complaint is that the colors are all too vibrant. I got red, blue and orange shoelaces...but each of the colors is just a tad too bright. The orange looks like a hunting vest, for god's sake.

I've since been looking at these (http://www.hookandalbert.com/dress-s...ok-CID269.aspx) as a possible alternative.

As for determining your ideal shoelace length, try this (http://www.fieggen.com/shoelace/approximatelengths.htm)
