@th: I have the Alphas in gravel and they're a true light grey. I have two other pairs of grey chinos, one a solid dark grey and the other a blue-grey glen plaid (both from BR), and there's absolutely no overlap with the color of the Alphas... I find myself reaching for them for totally different contexts and uses than my other grey chinos.

The Gravel color is a true grey, no presence of any blue. I don't know if I'd go so far as to call them light - they definitely don't seem as light as say Bonobos' Grey Dogs. I would put them more in the medium range. Regardless of classification, it's definitely a rich, solid color. I wish I had another pair of grey chinos to give you a more substantial comparison to.

I just received the Orient Ray I had ordered last week. I had been trying to decide between the Mako and the Ray, but everyone seemed to lean towards the Ray. I used the 'Summer2012' promo code and wanted to post pictures of everything I received.

@ChrisW, It's just Ecco orthodic inserts I think. The inside of the shoe has the Allen Edmonds branding, plus they look just like the AE Bentons on the website. But even if it's not, they still look great.
