I think like a lot of people here I want classic, even understated design. I don't want to be loud or obnoxious with how I dress but I do want to appear that I've put thought into what I'm wearing without looking "over dressed" hence the jeans. Coming to the office I work out of in wool slacks, a suit, and tie (or even just a shirt and tie) stands out and not necessarily in a good way though some guys do pull it off. I cannot.
Good news is everything I listed was bought on sale. Two pairs of the AE shoes were on clearance, the other I had a coupon for. All the watches were used except the Tisell, and the pants, jacket, and shirts were all on sale for 40% off or more ($3/99 sale at CT, for example).
So yea, it was a decent spend but it also helped me hit my reward bonus on my Sapphire card so that's 100k points toward our family vacation and the balance will be paid off so no interest to worry about.
