    Brown Loafers suggestions

I want to get a pair of loafers to wear for work. I was looking at the Allen Edmonds Montecitos but am open to any suggestions. I would like the following:

    1. American Made

    2. Leather sole

    3. More dressy then Sperry boat shoes

    4. No square toe

    5. High quality. I want something that will last a LONG time

I am about 90% sure I will go with the AE's but I am open to suggestions.

Not American made but I figured I'd post these from the CLAD sale since its a nice deal (extra 25% off with FEBFAMILY, final sale).

Those are nice, but not in my size.

What size? I seem to be running into a lot of quality loafers lately -- or are you looking for something new?

What finish are you looking for? Leather? Suede? (Not that suede isn't leather, but you know what I mean...)

I want to buy new size 8.5D. Leather finish such as these:

Go with AE. I've been lusting over the Kenwood's for a bit. I would wear the hell out of a pair of those in dark brown saddle (size 9E just for reference).

@Juan, those are nice, look like a hybrid norwegian split toe (sans split) and a penny...

oops, skipped over your number 2 requirement and the Larkin model that I posted above has a rubber sole. With leather sole, I like these: http://www.allenedmonds.com/aeonline...40000000001_-1

@Juan. Those are nice too. Not ordering right away so I have some time to keep looking. By the way, where do you buy the Alden's. Not sure I like them better then the AEs, but they are a nice option.

Since I didn't find any shoes I liked yesterday I just bought the AE Kenwood penny loafers in tan on eBay for $148, new with box
