One more on the BB OCBD hater band wagon. Agree with the rest of the men, the pockets and back stitching and the tail are just not worth it. The LEC looks better IMHO.

to be honest with you Runner, stick with the Canvas, more versatility...that BB looks way to casual IMO, and there is something wierd going on with the placket at the bottom and why does it have those strange darts on the back? the canvas in a better look

I definitely wouldn't wear it with a tie. I'm thinking more casual, like with chinos or jeans.

The BB shirt from P&B looks like a work shirt, but I don't think the pockets are bad so long as you're not trying to wear it with a tie or anything. I'd definitely tuck it in, though. And try to find a casual jacket (denim, maybe) to cover up those seams on the back...

Now that I think about it, that sure is a lot of concessions for a shirt. I probably wouldn't own anything that un-versatile.

Honestly, I don't really mind the pockets that much.

Runner - don't. Those are some ugly ass pockets.

    Go with no-pockets, IMO.

Holy crap! I found this Brook Brothers OCBD on Park and Bond for $16! Couldn't pass it up. It's also available in blue/white striped. Looks like I'll be making a trip to Sears to return the LEC oxford.

I'll have to check out the Nordstrom shirts. The Neiman Marcuses are usually my go-to's (at least for pinpoints).

At 5'5, 135 pounds, the one white Uniqlo button down shirt in Small that I've bought recently is the best fitting shirt on me off the rack I've ever had. Seriously, ever. It's basically the perfect fit on me, it doesn't billow on the sides and the arm lengths/armholes are on point completely.

If they have a sale again I'd definitely check out their other styles and try and stock up.

I've got a bunch of OCBDs from Lands End and Old Navy and the Express Extra Slim 1MX, but none fit as well as that one Uniqlo shirt I have. (To be fair, the 1MX shirts I have are XS, and are actually too small for me now, so maybe a regular Small would be similar to the Uniqlo sizing that works on me. I won't pass final judgment on Express until I've tried it in a Small, first)

I vigorously co-sign the $30 Uniqlo oxford if you're anywhere near one. I'm avoiding any pricy purchases until I finish the last leg of my weight-loss/fitness kick and Uniqlo has been a lifesaver. Their oxford looks great rumpled or pressed, has a trim cut and is shockingly well proportioned in the sleeves and neck considering it comes in S/M/L type sizing.

Pockets are a little funky for a classic OCBD, but I was tempted... sadly, S/M ain't gonna cut it.
