The Watch & Sweater Dilemma

Am I the only one who feels that wearing a watch with a sweater is uncomfortable?


I suppose due to the fact that sweater sleeves generally extend longer than shirt sleeves, the watch ends up remaining under the sweater sleeve and just produces this ugly and annoying bulge under the wrist part of the sleeve. Not only is this annoying, as I said, but it also — albeit over time — slightly stretches out the wrist area of the sleeve.


Anyone else agree with me on this? If so, what do you do about it?

Wear smaller watches. ;-)


Really, though, I've never had this problem or considered it. Are you wearing larger watches like diver style watches?

@BenR Nope. I like the Timex Weekender strap. Watches just seem to bother me being under that sleeve.

I agree that the watch causes a bulge and the sleeve may stretch out. Does it bother me? Nope.


@devirkahan - you'll be fine. Think of the stretched sweater bulge like that wallet fade in your favorite pair of jeans. All this stressing over sweaters and watches is going to take years off your life!
