• It's the angle for sure. I wasn't sure based on their style. They are a cap toe, correct? The fact that they aren't a shiny leather confuses me as far as what to wear them with and what to stay away from. As opposed to these: http://i61.tinypic.com/5v5gev.png which are fancier.

Which would you say would be more versatile.

Much obliged to you for your time and opinions.

• frigginhelpless, they would look great with business casual navy or charcoal pants.
With jeans, I'm not sure, maybe.
With khaki chinos, I would go with brown shoes instead.

Thanks for responding! Which shoes are you referring to, the first or second ones I posed?

If it's those, then I just bought them.

Thanks a lot.

• Anyone have experience with Polo Ralph Lauren blazers? I'm looking at one on eBay right now.

I have one in Navy. I like the material and weight. Very little shoulder padding. I swapped the gold buttons for navy ones. It is at the tailors now. Im having the sides taken in.

• Hey Guys,

Going to a wedding at the end of this month.

Thinking of wearing the same suit I wore for my wedding: Banana Republic Monogram in a grey and blue Glen Plaid.

I was thinking of pairing it with a pair of suede Cole Haan Wingtips. Just worried they're a little too casual.

The shoes are definitely lighter in person, closer to a Bone than the tan it looks like.

Does that work?

• SDCozzi - It's really hard to gauge the casualness of that outfit for a summer wedding without knowing more information about the wedding. My first inclination is that those shoes are too casual but they could be fine depending on the circumstances.

• The bride and groom are definitely on the casual side but upon further review, it looks like the venue is a bit more formal. I might just have to do some shoe shopping.

Those shoes with that sole are really sneakers. And sneakers do not look good with suits.

Not sure, but both the Black and Burgundy models look like they're made from corrected grain "leather".

No idea but they do look pretty cheap. I'd hold off for the Brooks Brother's Presidio. They're made by Allen Edmonds and pop-up in the AE Factory sales all the time (I think they've been discontinued). I picked up my pair in the 2 for $250 a few months back. They're great shoes with a surprisingly sleak toe. This dude is even selling a few pairs on ebay for $99:

opinion. I don't mind a well paired sneaker with a very casual suit in the right setting, but I am a reformed sneakerhead. I think it is very casual and the only wedding it would maybe have a place at would be a daytime, casual outdoor wedding. I am in a minority on this opinion though and dont know if I would ever do it myself.
