Issues replying to homepage topics?

I tried to reply to a post today regarding the late summer party and received an error message that I cannot post to this thread. Huh? Haven't seen that before. There were 15 comments already went I attempted to post so the comments don't appear to be locked. Not having problems on any other Discuss comment sites.
