I'll be another to recommend anything Weller, when you can find it.

If you're looking for BiB, I love Henry McKenna 10 Year. Again, when you can find it.

Wild Turkey Rare Breed is a great value for barrel proof, and isn't as hard to find as the name implies.

Heard from my pard in TN, he has a handful of Weller waiting for me when I can get down to Nash.

I've been searching for a bottle of McKenna 10 BiB for what feels like forever by now, with no success whatsoever.
I'm also keeping my eyes open for Old Ezra 7 wherever I shop.

Anyone have thoughts on bib & tucker 12 year? Local spot has that and 11.

I've only had the 6 yr and think there are better options at that price point. Reviews I've read on the 12 yr suggest the same for that price point and it's too spendy to gamble on, for me.

They had fantastic attention to detail. They used duct tape on the sidewalk to make "waiting boxes" that were 6 feet apart for those in line. For credit card sales they had a big pail of sterilized pens--grabbed one, used it to sign my receipt (which they asked me to pull from the machine to minimize "shared touching"), and then place in the "used pens" pail to minimize risk of cross-contamination. Was it overkill? Eh, maybe. But they're putting themselves out there with hundreds of strangers so....i certainly can't even begin to blame them in a place like DC.

That being said, I did score pretty nice.

Granted, these were not within the framework of the original post on Dappered regarding price point, but frankly IDGAF. Yes, I paid a lil more than MSRP for any of them. Yes, I'd do it again tomorrow to ensure a local business is able to keep their employees cared for and paid/insured while all this fuckery is going on. And if this post helps inspire others to do the same (support local spots that are still open) then it's a win for humanity as a whole.

That Weller though. Hoooooooly balls is it delicious. (I only had about an ounce; it went up to the top of the shelf with the Blanton's and a couple others as "special occasion" bottles)

Local BBQ place that is also a whiskey bar is doing takeout and to go drinks. They are also selling bottles of Pikesville Rye their white-label, the one they discontinued in 2016. I had to pick up a bottle for old times sake. Paid a little extra, but they catered my wedding and any way to support a local Baltimore business.

Last weekend prior to things being locked down a bit more I was in Buffalo, NY and grabbed bottles of Eagle Rare (never can find in my area), Weller Antique, and Willet 4 year Rye.

Nice score armedferret! Is the Blanton's also a store pick or standard?

Full Proof has been the one from the Weller family I haven't been able to try yet. My order so far has been WLW -> 107 -> 12 -> CYPB -> SR and assume Full Proof will slot on either side of 107. I'd be really curious to know your Full Proof price, as I assume it was somewhere between MSRP ($50 here in Cincinnati) and full secondary ($250ish locally).

I've been drinking an Eagle Rare store pick during social distancing.

Blanny has the store pick sticker on it too.

The full proof is amazing.

I'll keep prices out of it simply because i know i paid "too much" but again it was keeping a local spot's employees paid and insured. All in this bullshit together ya know?
