@Shad0w: Needs more Soilwork. If you haven't heard their stuff before, some of their oldest stuff is great (their newer stuff is more melodic though, like A7x).

SPOILERish: Mad Men-used song named below.

Thanks to Mad Men, more so than James Bond at the moment, I am enjoying this song.

Lana Del Rey - "Born To Die" because she looks like a Bond girl in the video and the Palais De Fontainebleau is magnificent.

"National Anthem" for the video's intricate rework of the Kennedy family in the 60s.

                    Woodkid -- "Run Boy Run"

I've really been having a Woodkid kick recently and despite only a handful of released songs, I love his style. Plus, the videos are fantastic.

A couple of songs that are unlikely to release, which is a shame because I quite like the short demos of both, especially Hollywood's Dead.

A bit of the Mad Men scene that featured The Twist by Chubby Checker. Christina Hendricks sure knows how to vamp it up.

And some wicked plot and story by Lana Del Rey (literally wicked, not just in the figurative 'awesome' way) about an officer and a female suspect with her usual cinematic blend of hip-hop beats and smooth sweeping instrumentals.

Claire de Lune - I honestly think this is the most beautiful piece of music ever created. Both the composition and this instrumentation are flawless.

thmage, I love Claire de Lune. To me, the only contemporary parallel might be Knee Play 5 from Einstein on the Beach, which I think of as the metaphoric dusk to Claire de Lune's dawn.

Matthew E. White's new album is pretty incredible, and I've been listening to it nonstop over the past week. It's retro, laid-back groove music. Check out this single, "Big Love": http://www.rollingstone.com/music/al...inner-20120821

Considering I really only listen to music when I'm at the gym, it's mostly rap. I like pretty much everything other than indie or country music though.

I also like me some bubblegum pop.
