She was only up there for the weekend but we both want to go back.

I love camping. Don't get out as much as I would hope to right now, but I'm sure we'll make it happen more often in the upcoming years.

How did your camping trip last weekend go?
It was great. easy trip but it was the first time taking my 8 year old camping. Well, we went camping in Florida once but we basically just slept in a tent. The rest of the time we were out and about. No cooking, no fire, etc. She did really well and had a blast so hopefully we can get back in the swing of camping now that everybody is old enough. I am also slowly getting my gear back in order. Sold off a bunch when I went through a divorce and downsizing. Trying to good hatchet and self inflating pads that I can tolerate. Too old to sleep on the bare dirt.

The wife and I have done a couple of 6+ mile hikes now and she is ready to do a 2 day next so I am super excited about that. I really want to start chipping away at the Appalachian trail. I cant take off work to do anything more than 1 or 2 nights right now but maybe one day. We also plan on loading up the jeep and heading into some of the more remote national forest areas.
