Picking a weekend bag

Was just about to pull the trigger on the Herschel Supply Co bag(Novel - because of the shoe compartment) on Maxton Men when I discovered this on Amazon -

I've seen both of those and if you have the coin, either is good. I've been looking at weekend bags for awhile and it seems like they are all so damn expensive.

Sorry for the bump up, but if you're still looking at this duffle I can recommend it. I've had mine (the Venezia) since February and it's rather nice, the leather is rather soft and pliable, and the hardware is indeed metal and seems quite firm in place. If i were to change anything it would be the strap, it's kind of thin and lacks padding (this is a minor complaint though). Hopes that helps

Can't help you on that front, they look nice, but I personally like the Herschel better for the price.


However, I've been looking at buying a mason bag for my weekend bag, like one of these:

Thoughts? Canvas and leather with a steel frame, so I think they'd stand up to anything, but what do you think of the look? Would I like too much like an actual mason?
