    Land's End CEO Removed

I guess Land's End Canvas line did not perform very well, as Joe hinted at when reviewing the Canvas line.

    Here is the article.

I have never understood Lands End canvas. Especially since the name causes some confusing product names. Like canvas chukkas made from suede.

I like LE's new direction generally but the revamped LEC did not make any sense.

This isn't surprising. She was doomed as soon as she refused to move to Wisconsin where LE is headquartered and instead opted to work from an office in NYC. What a great way to alienate everyone that works for you.

I also liked the direction they were going in but they did next to nothing to advertise the revamped lineup. LesserBlackDog is right. The Canvas membership scheme made no sense whatsoever.

Yeah as soon as I saw the Canvas membership I stopped paying attention to LE. Didn't know that she refused to live where the company was centered out of. Not a smart move.

I think she was trying to make Lands End something it is not. I am surprised they would hire someone from a Designer Fashion label. Maybe if it was from RL or something like that, but Lands End is more classic affordable quality, and while it needs modernizing, it needs to do it in a way to dominate its niche.

Anyway, Lands End is on Amazon now... Not sure what that means.
