    Restaurant Recommendation - Las Vegas

    Hey Gang,

Heading to Vegas for my birthday this weekend. Looking to make a reservation for Sunday night. Looking for a recommendation.

We will be a party of six, and would like to stay around $50-$60 per person.

My wife is not a big seafood eater, but otherwise everything is fair game. Thanks!

Prime Steakhouse at the Bellagio is one of my favorites. I eat there every time I am in Vegas. Get a nice seat by the window and watch the fountains. Get a nice bottle of Tensley Shiraz while you're there

Also, I just checked their reservations on Opentable and they are open at 6pm ,then 7:45. Regardless of where you go, make your decision quick!

Fleur was excellent when I ate there. It is one of the top restaurants I've eaten at anywhere, and in fact better than Keller's Fleur-de-Lys in San Francisco was.

I lived in Vegas for a time and have eaten at most of the restaurants for which you will likely get recommendations in this thread. My high-end rec is Andre's at the Monte Carlo. Yes, its in an older casino, but its divine. It may, however, run you a bit above your listed price point if you take account for alcohol consumption.

That being said, I'll throw out an uncommon recommendation: Battista's Hole-in-the-Wall. Its an Italian restaurant a block east of the strip, adjacent to Bally's and behind the Flamingo. The food is decent enough- about on par with higher-end chain Italian. However, it would be tough to have more fun at a restaurant. Its the only Vegas restaurant I hit up every time I'm there. You get all you can drink wine with any entree and they will send you away with a 32 oz to-go cup of wine if you want. Their cappuccino (also included with dinner) is fantastic and the atmosphere is very mob-movie. All that for around $20 a person. I've entertained multiple groups of guests there over the years, from groups of blue-collar workers to the most jaded of NYC executives to my own extended family. EVERY time I see anyone who has ever gone to Battista's with me they want to reminisce about the fun we had there. Now, as I said, the food is serviceable but not fantastic, however you will likely enjoy the experience more than most anywhere else you go. Feel free to drink a little too much and get a little loud. The place is made for laughs. And be sure to tip the old guy with the accordion.
