The City - a multi-part series about illegal dumping in Chicago. More interesting than it sounds?
Trump, Inc. - ProPublica / WNYC investigative journalism into the President and his family business shenanigans.

So I started listening to In The Dark seasons 1 and 2. I have eaten these things up! Reminds me a bit of Serial and it has hit quite a few Top Podcasts of 2018 lists.

Hey joombo how many episodes of Casefile have you listened to? I tried to listen to the very first episode, but felt the audio quality wasn't quite good enough so I ditched it about 5 mins in to the show.

So I go on spurts of having a big queue and nothing at all. One recent pick up is the Dax Shepard "Armchair Expert." Just sort of entertaining celeb guy that just talk about anything really. It fills the time after work on the ride home when I am drained from thinking all day and don't want an intellectual podcast but just something to fill the space and maybe provide a laugh or two.

I have to come back an recommend the recent Peter Attia podcast with Paul Conti. It is just a smack in the face, brutally honest opinion on trauma, suicide, community, and self-compassion. It made my chest tighten while listening to it as I reflected on my own life. Damn...

So Serial is back on the 18th. Seems like an interesting concept this season.

One podcast that I would recommend is The Peter Attia Drive. He is an MD with a focus on longevity. He has been on the Joe Rogan podcast and another one I listen to. While it can get quite technical and nerdy, I quite like it. He had a recent one with a cosmetic type surgeon which promted me to take better care of my skin. The next day I ordered a few things for my face and upped my sunscreen game.

JBarwick yeah, I totally agree with you. In looking at my podcast feed, more and more of them are from Panopli.

Panopli has some quality podcasts. I am still not to the point of paying for premium content but Panopli would be one I would subscribe to if there was a pay wall.

Thanks for the posters who mentioned The History of Rome. I'm about 120 episodes in, as I walk 30 minutes to work each day. I've really enjoyed it,and surprised somewhat that I'm still listening.

Started listening to American Fiasco which is about the US 1998 World Cup run. Pretty interesting so far. Something different from my normal routine.

Picked up a couple of new podcasts recently.

BBC Music Introducing Mixtape - a great podcast with a whole lotta new music. Or at least new music to me. Highly recommend it.
The Control Group - a radio drama set in a psychiatric hospital. It's really creepy and kind mystery/suspense like. Only one episode in.

I've been listening to a lot of Bill Burr's podcast lately. That guy is not only hilarious but offers intelligent and level-headed perspective on the things he talks about. Quite refreshing.
