    Pulling The Trigger

In my management meeting today, after lengthy discussion on procuring a new system, I declared we had to "pull the trigger on that".

"Alright there, Dirty Harry," says the CEO.

Came to realize the "pull the trigger" came from too much time spent here.

Google search results for "dappered" + "pull the trigger" yields 5,170 results. I realize after this post, it will be 5172 results.

Maybe we could collectively put the safety on "pull the trigger" (5173). It would help me be less an idiot in meetings. Plus we live in too much a gun culture already.

I also realized this just yesterday while reading the comments of the 10 Spring Essentials article. I'm guilty as well. I blame Joe and his middle-of-nowhere American dialect

Aw, c'mon... I think my record is pretty decent when it comes to using that cliche: http://dappered.com/?s=%22the+trigger%22 (haven't used "pull the trigger" since August... but I do use "trigger" in reference to free shipping thresholds. As in: to trip the free shipping trigger. I'm happy to change it to "cross the free shipping rubicon" )

This gets stuck in my head EVERY time someone references the Rubicon. Though it's probably just an indication of how big a nerd I am. (FOR GOD'S SAKE, JOHN, SIT DOWN.)

Yes sir, I actually have a print of this photo in my apartment. I like it because it's not very obviously him. If I recall, the shoot was something like "Eastwood at home" and includes some with him cleaning his gun (like here), talking on an old phone, and lounging around. Pretty cool stuff from early on.

Both cool pics, especially the McQueen one.

LoL on the whole "pulling the trigger" thing. I'm guilty of using it here at least a half dozen times and I am far from a gun nut . I think we can add that phrase to the collection of "low hanging fruit", "outside the box", "paradigm shift", "win win" and a plethora of others...

Unless you're in TX, I'm going to disagree. Given the near constant stories of people performing legal OC and still getting harassed by law enforcement who don't understand the actual laws in their own locals, I am of the opinion that we need more responsible gun ownership and evidence in our culture.
