Summer closet cleaning: Charles Tyrwhitt Shirts, Ludlow Suits, Monogram Suit & more!

If you recall my last closet cleaning thread here (http://threads.dappered.com/showthre...BR-wool-pants), I was changing jobs and the new office had a more formal dress code. Well, I hated that situation and I'll be going back to my old company where suits will earn you some eyebrow raises if you're not visiting clients, haha. Anyways, I won't have much use for this stuff and it is priced to sell because I would like to have everything sold before I start back at the new old job and have some funds for some apparel more appropriate for this office. Willing to negotiate for multiple items, but I feel the individual prices are very reasonable and in most cases would rather keep it or deal with eBay. Prices DO NOT include shipping. PayPal as payment method. Pet free, smoke free home. I do not want to break up any of the suits. I will take measurements if requested.

I will have to do this listing in multiple posts because you are limited to four linked images per post. Click the links for larger images.

First up are 11 Charles Tyrwhitt dress shirts. These are all from the "slim fit" line and size 15.5 neck. On all 11 of these I had the sleeves altered to 34.5" by CT. So the tags might say 35" or 37", but note they are CT altered to 34.5". Asking $15 each.

Most are still available at Charles Tyrwhitt, so check out their site for more info if desired.

I also have one CT dress shirt that is also 15.5 neck slim fit, but the sleeves are not altered, so it is 35". *It is a plain white poplin with French cuffs. The dry cleaner didn't do a great job pressing that right cuff :-(

          Next up are the suits.

First is a J. Crew Ludlow in Navy Chino. Jacket size 42R 2 button closure with dual vents and classic pants size 35 and are supposed to be unhemmed. They do appear to have a finished bottom with a little bit of play. Both of these are brand new with tags, not altered/worn. Black mark through the tag on the jacket to prevent retail returns. Asking $120.

Next is a J. Crew Ludlow in Charcoal Herringbone Wool. Size 42R jacket and 36/32 slim pants. The jacket is a 2 button closure with dual vents has had the sleeves shortened a touch. The pants were hemmed and taken in at the waist. There is a spot on the jacket on the front right at the bottom. I am unsure if its just the fabric at that spot or a stain (see photos). Asking $75.

Last but not least is an unstructured J. Crew Ludlow Sportcoat in desert khaki twill. Same one featured on one of the J Crew sales posts about a week back. I literally just got it, but I just bought the Bonobos Fairfax suit on clearance s similar color since I thought the suit since I have an upcoming wedding and figured it would be more versatile and I can wear the jacket on its own. *Worn twice. *Size Medium and unaltered. 2 button closure, center vent. Asking $50.

Shame, those suits are all too large for me, otherwise I would have loved to get my hands on a ludlow. That means the shirts would likely be too large for me as well, unfortunately. Interested in the ties though. Are they all 2.5", or are any smaller or wider? I definitely don't want to go smaller than that, not with something that isn't knit, and would actually prefer something wider. Exact measurements would really help. And how is their condition? Are stains, tears, runs, or stitches coming loose?

I would be all over those shirts if they were ESF instead of just a slim. These are great deals, I hope you get your $$ back and good luck returning to your previous employer, hope it won't be an awkward transition for you!

The ties are spoken for at the moment. I'll post back with measurements if that changes.

It might be for the first couple weeks because everyone will have the same questions and I'll have to rehash the stories over and over, but I was there for 7 years and made a lot of lasting connections. I still got invited to all their happy hour events and whatnot :-P I definitely won't make my money back, haha. But I'm glad to contribute to the community and I know my size is probably on the upper end of the average Dappered reader, so there will be a smaller potential pool.

PMed you about the khaki unstructured sportcoat... By the way, how does the ludlow in 42R compare size-wise with the medium unstructured sportcoat? I've never tried a ludlow on, but tried on that same sportcoat last weekend and it fit well. I typically wear a 40R in JCrew Factory costs though, so I'm afraid 42R would be too big.
