Lots of stuff for sale! Watches, blazers, shirts, shoes

I have been an avid Dappered reader since I discovered the site earlier this year (as you'll see from several of the items below), but I have not been a big participant on the forums, so I opted to go the eBay route to establish my feedback and give people piece of mind with eBay/PayPal protection. As for why I am looking to move all of this stuff, I went a little overboard this Black Friday on some new clothes and my first real timepiece (an Omega Aqua Terra 8500 for those who care about such things), so I need to help offset the cost a bit and make some closet space by selling some stuff. Shirts are all sized Medium or 15-15 1/2” neck, blazers sized 42R.

Shirts:

Presumably it is all used, since the OP did state he was trying to make some closet space for incoming purchases.

True, but it looks like he's selling off some newer stuff that he picked up and sent him "overboard" on BF.

Yes, everything is used with the exception of the F&O Navy Corduroy Blazer (their stuff does not ship with tags) and the J. Crew Factory Thompson Chino Blazer (NWT). I just never got around to wearing either of those and it's past the returns window. Everything is newer (as in purchased this year). Some background on me that might help explain a bit. In 2010 I weighed about 330 lbs. and finally enough was enough and I forced myself to go through a lifestyle change and the way I was eating. Today I fluctuate from 175-185 (darn holidays).

So as you could imagine, I needed to buy new clothes a few times along the way to keep from having clothes that fit like a parachute, so I was buying cheaper clothing since I knew I wouldn’t have it for very long. Also during this time, being new to shopping at places other than the big & tall store and having such a wide variety of options, I didn’t really know what I was doing and I bought a lot of stuff I didn’t really need or ended up not liking.

Fast forward to today, I’m at a place where I’m more content with my weight and I’ve come to accept the fact that I’m probably not going to be getting much smaller (maybe another 15 lbs. or so). Also I am much more informed thanks to sites like Dappered. Now that I’m close to the weight that I expect to sustain for the long term, I’ve started updating my wardrobe to higher quality stuff that I’ll be keeping longer, so it’s almost like starting over from scratch. For example a handful of pants from Bonobos, shirts from Charles Tyrwhitt, a couple of MTM suits, etc.

Previously I just donated the clothing to Goodwill because it was mostly stuff that wouldn’t be worth the time to list it (mostly cheap poly blend stuff for example) and also because I turned over the wardrobe slowly. I decided to list everything this time because it was stuff that I thought more people might be interested in and slightly higher quality and because I had the time thanks to having all of last week off work, haha.

As for the watches, I have been coveting a quality timepiece for a while now and just finally pulled the trigger. Since I won’t be needing such a wide array of watches any more, I decided to put those up too.

Typically I don't when eBaying, but I will do it for Dappered members. Just send me a message through eBay letting me know you are part of the Dappered community.

@Ian Could you do me a favor and measure the shoulder width on that jacket? I don't have a JCF that I'll be able to get to before the auction ends. I'm normally a 42r, but I was at a JCrew on BF and I needed to size up to a 44 in the ludlow blazer I tried on. I would've PMed you, but I guess you can't on the mobile version.

When I measure seam to seam across the back hanging on a hanger it is 18.5". Let me know if you need any other measurements. For what it's worth I've fit 42R in most brands as well (JCF, BR, F&O, other OTR stuff I have tried at department stores) and a J. Crew Ludlow suit was one of the items I bought a few weeks back and I ended up sizing up to 44R on that as well. The fit is pretty similar in the chest (42R JCF and 44R J. Crew Ludlow), though I will have to take in the Ludlow jacket a bit in the waist.

@Ian- It sounds like you and I are similar in size. I see we wear the same size pants as well. Thanks for measuring that jacket for me.

Ian, interested in the F&O blazers. I'm between a 41R and 42R in most normal OTR coats. I've read a couple places that the F&O blazers run tight in the shoulders, but you mention that they fit you and you're a 42R. Can you expand a little on the fit on you?

                              Thanks.
