FS: 10 or so different Vintage harris tweeds, 42R, 42L 44R, $30 or so ea. part II

I'm so happy that I sold a bunch of cool jackets to cool people in the other thread I made!

I sold all the ones that were 40R or so. Now I have dug deep into the closet and storage unit to pull out a few more I think should be released out to the general public.

As I mentioned in the other thread,

Every snazzily dressed man truly needs a versatile Tweed sportscoat. Nothing makes any fall or winter outfit instantly pop like a nicely colored and patterned wool sport coat. There is no other tweed in the world like Harris Tweed, which is made out in the Outer Hebrides of Scotland by hand.

I continually comb thrift shops in hope of finding neat new Harris Tweed garments. When I find a new one, I either get a new exciting one to wear or get to pass on the wealth to my friends. If no one I know wants a particular jacket, it will usually end up on ebay, selling for $25+ or so pretty regularly.

I figured I'd give you dappered forum guys an other at these since you definitely appreciate them for what they are, even more than the ebay guys. If you care to, you're welcome to look up my ebay seller rating, it's good, my ebay username is evanparker . Ones that don't sell here will probably just end up on that ebay afterwards.

Most of these jackets are very popular mainline colors, but you will see quickly that some have more rare and unusual color patterns. Almost all of them are in pretty good shape, as I try to leave the really tired ones at the store. Please check back, I'll be posting a bunch over the next week.

As before, any one of them will be $30, with some saltier ones possibly dipping toward $25, including shipping to USA only. I take paypal to [email protected] only.

So most of these I made a card with the measurements, in inches. this is done in accordance with the ask andy how to measure a jacket page

    PP means armPit to armPit
    JL means JACKET LENGTH
    SL means Sleeve Length
    SHW means Shoulder Width
    W means Waist

      without further adieu

      this is tweed #10

It has a nice Dark grey teal, blue, block pattern, with highlights of orange and red! this color combination really pops! The jacket has the soft naturally padded shoulders. The jacket has a traditional center back vent, and regular pockets. It also has dark brown leather buttons. It's of very good quality and in really great shape.

This is Harris tweed #11. It's a 44L, though check the measurements for the details.
This one has a lovely subtle light grey herringbone pattern. My he jacket has pretty soft natural shoulders, 3/4 lining, classic center rear vent. It's very good quality. This jacket has plain buttons instead of the leather ones, looks a little more modern? Man I wish I was a little bit taller!!

Harris tweed #13 this nice Sail Loft 44R jacket. This has a wonderful herring bone pattern with lots of nice blue and yellow streaks in it. It looks great! It glows a little extra. The 3/2 roll button hole is there, but the button isn't. And you never miss it, funny enough. Looks better that way.

Harris Tweed #15, a 44R, or maybe 44S block pattern one (check that card with the sizing on it). This one was long a favorite of mine. The jacket is made in Britain, the lining is pretty nice and the tweed seems a littler thinner than the others. it has a full lining. The block pattern makes it stand out from the herringbone ones you typically see. it has soft natural shoulders, center vent and black leather buttons.

and you now ask yourself, where is #14 go? well, i need to take a few pictures still.

I think it's a 42R, marked as Gleneagles brand. Made in Scotland (which i don't usually see often) the tweed seems a little thicker than on the new Harris tweeds. The coat is nice and warm! I have the sizing info in the image here, and you can see the plain brown and white herringbone pattern. pics will be up tonight. EDIT I ADDED ALL THE PICTURES. 8/17/16

Harris tweed #16 is a 46L. Lands end brand. A nice Lands End made in USA one. It is in a really nice dark-grey herringbone It has fairly good sized shoulderpads. The coat has two little moth bites in the back side (see pictures) so it's going to be marked down to $25 shipped.

I also still have #1 a nice Harris Tweed that is a 44R and has a little purple undertone, and is a bit of a rare color.

Thank goodness you don't have any more in 40R... I don't think I could resist.

These two others I have are 40R but they're more like $100 . Both J Press, both from 1981 or so...

They'll probably sell better on askandy anyways, but I figured I'd mention them just because here super rad. And some sort of cashmere wool and silk hybrid. Super nice
