Bespoke Post Boxes and Referrals Thread

I know that the Bonobos thread is pretty popular and it helped a lot of forum members so I thought it wouldn't hurt to start a thread for Bespoke Post (mods - if you disagree, please feel free to delete this thread). This could be a way to talk about the contents of each box, and also post referral codes, without cluttering the "Deals" thread since this deal actually lasts a full month. Could help people decide whether they want that month's box or not.

I've never gotten a box from them before but both the Weekender Bag and the 'Polished' are equally awesome and I'm tempted to order one of them for my birthday. Saphir's shoe care products are nothing short of amazing (if you look on SF there are some before/after shots of thrifted shoes that received a Saphir treatment and it's like magic) and the laces are a nice bonus, but the Weekender Bag looks unreal. I think one of the things to consider about the 'Polished' deal is that AE shoe care sales where their products are $1-8, so if you're not concerned with getting the *best* shoe care stuff, it's not a great deal. I have AE shoe products (dark brown, black shoe creams, neutral polish, brushes, bags) and can vouch for their quality.

Do any of you have the older version and recommend it vs. things like the Frost River carry-on bags, which are made from waxed canvas and come highly recommended?

Also if you'd like to order a box from Bespoke Post, I'd greatly appreciate it if you used my referral code: https://www.bespokepost.com/r/b16503f6

    Get any bites yet?

Saw this dopp kit at Target on clearance and thought it'd match pretty well. I'll probably pick it up when it goes to $15 or below. The logo is kind of annoying but if the price is right... and it comes with shampoo, conditioner, shave gel, etc.

I haven't checked! But that's a really good match, and Crew products themselves sell for half that price, so it's a pretty good deal. My current dopp kit is a tan leather CK one that's got a subtle embossed logo on it. It wouldn't go with the bag but that's fine. I've always worried that these types of bags with the metal frame/construction would easily break or bend if dropped - is that the case?

Thanks! Were you thinking of getting the Weekender? I keep thinking of just how little time I already have - as awesome as the weekender is, I don't think I'd use it much in the next 3-7 years. If I'm going away, it's going to be somewhere far, otherwise I'm probably not going anywhere. I may pass on both the Weekender and the Shoe Care deals and see what they've got in store for March.

I had been eyeing the weekender since it was announced and after reading Joe's review of the Weekender I I decided to pull the trigger with the help of the Fab deal. I can't wait to get. It will come on handy when I go to Ohio in April.

I have liked many of the monthly boxes, but I will probably skip quite a few of them.

Bah! I wish I had the fab code before i signed up haha!
I skipped the boxes for now, the only one that was appealing to me was the weekender but I don't travel enough to just want the bag haha! Hope March is a nice one!

I'm in. The weekender bag looks a bit small for me, when I travel I'm usually gone for a week at a time, but I could definitely use the shoe polishing kit.

I received the Polished box yesterday and today we are snowed in, which means I'm getting to use the stuff. So far I'm impressed.

This month's box looks very tempting and I think I am going to have to get it. Box includes a tie, pocket square, tie bar, and two pairs of socks. All items, except from the socks, come from Bo Clothing, which appears to a small boutique clothing line that has gotten some decent press. http://www.boclothing.com/press-page Prices normally seem a little ridiculous from them, over $150 for the tie and pocket square alone. $45 for the lot seems more reasonable. What are your guys' thoughts?

I guess I'll throw my code here too: https://www.bespokepost.com/r/3dc731

Agreed -- the Threaded Box from Bo Clothing looks like a great deal. Not a huge fan of the marking on the tie bar, but the Tie alone is a pretty good deal compared to their retail prices.

Personally, I never wear cotton ties or cotton pocket squares, so it's a no go for me. I understand the cotton tie as some do like them, but who wants a white cotton PS? They're almost always worn in a neat fold like a square/tv fold, and cotton will not hold its shape.

The socks are bleh as is the tie bar. Maybe this is a discount to Bo's typical prices, but that doesn't mean it's worth the price to me.
