how is the fit on these - any chance you could compare them to JCrew Bowery Classics? I've got larger thighs but am a 31-32 waist, trying to decide if I should pull the trigger.

I also own a few pairs of the wool Bowery classics for comparison. I would say these are slightly looser than the Bowery Classics. Now for comparison all my Bowerys are size 29, but I bought 30's in the Lands End because they don't sell 29's. A trip to the tailor and they fit great. So based on my experience, sizing up just one size shouldn't be a big deal (assuming you don't have a problem dropping a few $$$ getting them brought in by your tailor). I own them in the light grey linked above and brown and they get a ton of use from now till April.

J.Crew is running their 25% off full price items and 30% off final sale. I just picked up a pair or Alden Indy boots for 392 before tax. Most sizes are back-ordered but they estimate shipping mid October which coincides with hopefully cooler weather so no big deal.

Sierra Trading Post has some Filson jackets in stock - prices are pretty good (for Filson) if you get one of their 30% or 40% off codes they are always sending by email. I just ordered the Bell Bomber (cotton) and the Seattle Cruiser (wool) - planning to see which one I like better and send the other back.

Unfortunately these both turned out to be super boxy in how they fit, so back they go.

I've been beating the Massdrop drum a bit lately, but they just put up the Hamilton Jazzmaster Viewmatic. Currently at $410, may go sub-$400 with enough buyers. Black face with either a leather strap or stainless bracelet. I wish I had the cash.
