A filson in that nutmeg color would be awesome. Waiting for another deal on a Filson 256 even though the best deal (in recent months) is still x2.5 more expensive than this... still tempting though.

You know the Brooks Bros 25% off sale started right? Their Filson "original briefcase" is the 256:

Once you add it to your cart, you'll see the discount in the total price at the bottom.

Yep, saw that. Still too expensive for a "want" right now.

For those of you looking for some fall boots, Andrew Lock is running a promo that takes these lovely looking things down to $375 (Enter promo code DAS at checkout).

Thanks to DanielM's recommendations in this forum, I purchased the Andrew Lock black cap-toe oxfords (http://andrewlockshoes.com/products/...e-black-oxford) and I'm very happy with them. Sleak, modern, and comfy. PutThisOn had their shoe expert homie Raul deconstruct a pair of Andrew Lock's and he basically said they're on par with Allen Edmonds and nearly on par with Aldens. You can read that review here: http://putthison.com/post/3086879832...k-shoes-review

I've never seen these boots in person, but may be worth taking a chance on if you're looking for a brown boot for the fall.

Thanks for the extra info, Fred. I didn't even notice that the cap-toes were made in Spain and these were made in the UK. Whoops!

If you're a size 12E, or close to it, check out this guys post on SF: http://www.styleforum.net/t/361555/s...c-j-carmina-rl

Used C&Js, Carmina, and Peal & Cos for under $100. They're in very good condition, but if you're picky you could buy them, ship them off to B. Nelson, and have C&Js in great condition for $150-200.

A bunch of E. Marinella for Drumohr cashmere knit ties, $59 BIN each:

                        E. Marinella (along with Drakes and Cappelli) is one of my favorite tie makers. $59 for a cashmere Marinella is a steal if anyone needs a knit tie.

Nice find. I emailed the guy asking him the width on the ties. I'd want to know that before purchasing.

Pretty sure they are 2.5". This guy on SF was selling them for $130 and they were all 2.5.
