doh, not my size and i spent all day yesterday unsucessfully scouring saks and barneys for a similar pair
If you haven't already, I recommend checking out Gustin jeans. The quality is outstanding. They're manufactured in the same facility as Tellason, and are cheaper than the Tellason clearance prices. Even more so if you use the $20 referral codes that are floating around on the Threads. Of course, if you're set on Tellason then please disregard the recommendation.

You sometimes have to wait almost 2 months for Gustin, so that should be a consideration. Also, returns are not really an option.
i have been thinking about gustin, but i can't bring myself to pull the trigger without feeling them or trying them on first. i'd rather spend a bit more on one pair that i definitely like, so the price is actually less of a factor.

I know how you feel but my curiosity got to me so I ordered a pair at the end of May. It shows on the site as shipping this month (I'm guessing it will be at the end of the month). I can't wait to get them in to see how the fit is and if it was worth the money. I think I paid $81 for the pair when I'm used to paying about $30 for jeans from JCrew Factory and such.
There's a pair they are taking orders for at the moment that I really want to buy but I don't want to commit to 2 pairs of their jeans without knowing how they fit me.
for perspective, did you consider/try on any other higher end denim brands beforehand?
No. I just went based off the measurement chart they provided. I normally wear a 32 waist but according to their chart, I ordered a 33 straight. Supposedly that's what all my other jeans are most similar to.

I finally ordered a pair...not totally funded yet.
I went with a 30 straight #60 Light Lefthand. Almost the exact same measurements as my favorite pair of jeans (Levi Hesher line)...only the rise differs, and thankfully it's taller.
