I'm not sure there is a more polarizing brand than Rugby. They have some just absolutely gorgeous items for somewhat decent prices. But then at the same time they have some absolutely hideous ones too.
Jos A Bank shoe trees $12.50, buy 2 get 1 free, so 3 for $25. This seems to be a pretty consistent sale price for JAB, but friendly reminder in case anybody hasn't thought to buy shoe trees from here. If can get a store to match the deal you can avoid $6 shipping. I just bought 3 from the last sale (i.e. last week) and they're fine for the price (I've read they're made by Woodlore), might pick up another 3
@ trash. Thanks a lot! I've been too lazy to drive to Nordstrom Rack (in the heart of the shopping district here). I only needed two, so now I guess I need to buy a pair of shoes to wrap around the free third tree...
With the $9(!) shipping and tax they work out to $12.25 ea, so about the same as NR but it saved me a trip. FYI, if you buy more than $75 use SAVETEN to take $10 off.
Thanks for the tip on the Rugby sale. Picked up a blue/white oxford that I've been eyeing forever. (Normally $60, now $40 - 20%. Worked out to around $38 shipped with tax).
Banana Republic has a 40% off everything in store sale going on. Applies to already marked down items as well.
I got a silk/cashmere/cotton polo for $25, plus a slim fit non iron and a western button down at 40% off full price. The markdown pickings may be slim, but my store had a good selection of full priced items (which are 40% off).
I didn't know BR had slim non-irons. They retail for $79.50, I got mine for about $48. First impression: compared to Brooks Brothers Extra Slim fit:
Pros: softer fabric, greater variety of patterns,
Cons: blousier in the chest, bigger armholes, less precise sizing (eg, 15-15 1/2, no sleeve sizing), less substantial collar, easier to find on sale.
Neutral: Similar waist size, same retail price.
Measured the chest, it's about 2.5" bigger in the chest than the Brooks ESF 15.5
