They did it once and quickly caught on to customers stacking. Haven't seen it since.

For what it's worth, I chatted with a CT customer service rep who said they would honor any promotion in-store - as long as you can provide mail or an email showing the offer details.

I'm on their mailing lists and I never see mail or email notification of these shirt + tie or < $30 shirt deals. They just trickle in from the internet somehow. Otherwise, that would certainly be a way to avoid the shipping cost.

Those offers are usually specifically targeted. I never got a shirt+tie for $39 offer in any of my home mailers, but I've seen that offer pop up twice now as an advertisement in the WSJ.

Some really great deals to be had on off-season items like outerwear. Penfield jackets, tons of Barbour jackets (inlcuding the Dept. B Commander jacket from Skyfall). Just wish I had a bunch of money to blow on this sale!
