From what I've seen on FrugalMaleFashion, Lord & Taylor is saying that the $90.00 sale DB is out of stock, and all they have left are the full price boot.
I think it's bad business practice on their part.
On a good note, there's always Nordstrom which will price match the $90.00 + 20% off, but I think your miles may vary.
Sorry guys, was a really good deal.

Nordstrom will only match it if the other site has it in stock. They have to have the exact same item in the exact same size/color/etc. in stock otherwise they will not price match.

JCrew Factory just sent out an email advertising a 40% off fall essentials sale. Looks like this is meant to be combined with their tiered sale of 10% off $75+, 20% off $125+, and 30% off $200+ with code "STEPSALE". Not amazing, but there's potential here. Some decent options for cotton-cashmere sweaters, lambswool sweaters, and casual shirts.

JCrew has an additional 50% off on end of season items in their final sale section. Definitely check it out. I picked up this linen blazer for 80. There's also an oxford cloth ludlow for 180, but I don't wear suits often enough to pick it up out of the blue

If someone is a size 11, there's a real nice pair of Redwing Beckham Chukkas (in black cherry, but it looks like a reddy-brown to me) that come in around $200 after the 30% SHOPNOW code today: http://www.jcrew.com/AST/Navigation/...~~~~/63670.jsp

Some great deals to be had in that J.Crew 50% off sale. I picked up a few items to check out, but will probably return a few (made sure none were Final Sale). I was very (VERY!) tempted by that Ludlow Oxford, and it was even avail in my size (40S). I've seen and felt it in store and it is very nice, but I can't justify another light-colored suit right now. Especially since I own the Ludlow Fielding sportcoat in Oxford (very similar material). That said, I picked up a pair of the Ludlow Chino pants in Stone, but will likely just wear those with a sportcoat. I have a pair in wheat and they make nice summer dress pants. And if the Chino jacket in either Stone or Wheat goes on deep, deep discount around the holidays maybe I'll grab it and have another summer suit.

Also, its not in the 50% off sale section, but they have the very nice Dock Peacoat in the sale section (extra 30% off brings it to under $200, and ships free over $175). Very nice colors available in addition to the standard Navy blue:

Jamie I've heard the Ludlow chinos are pretty wide through the leg and calf - how's your experience been?

Well, I've got pretty thick thighs, so the Ludlow Slims are like leggings on me - not a good look. The Ludlow Classic, which I own in a few colors/fabrics, is pretty trim and classic in my opinion, at least on my body. They're pretty perfect for me, and I wouldn't call them "wide" at all. I'd estimate they have about a 16" leg opening on a size 32. As long as you don't grab any that say "Final Sale" you could always return them. For chinos I also prefer the Classic fit at J.Crew, although I have some Urban Slim, and they're okay.

Do you own any J.Crew chinos or Bowery pants?

Tommy Hilfiger Unconstructed Blazer for $90 for the next hour or so on Amazon. No idea about quality or sizing, etc., but not a bad price.

Goodyear-welted navy suede wingtips, originally $179, now $112 + S&H from Orvis. (Price shows in cart.) They appear to be made by Florsheim and seem very similar to the Haviland.

I don't, though I have a pair of JCF bedfords that need slimming. I passed on the chinos as I think wool will ultimately suit me better. I'll keep your advice in mind though in case I decide to purchase them later. Swinging by the mall today so I may try them on.

Nordstrom has Allen Edmonds Fifth Avenue all colors/sizes on sale for $238.96. Which is only about $10 more than what they sell seconds for.

Local JCP had a lot of their fitted Stafford shirts on clearance for $15. A lot of people have had success with those shirts.
This coupon takes $10 off $25 which would bring the total to ~$20 for two of the shirts.

If you're in the market for black chelsea boots, Off Broadway has their Johnson & Murphy ones (black, round toe, plain finish) on super clearance (60% off +10% off). Total comes out south of $40 including tax.

H&M is having a 50% off on select items sale. Looking at grabbing a couple Henleys and some boxer briefs. Any comments on fit of the henleys or boxer briefs?
