Well I've gone and done it again. LEC has a LOT of stuff on sale, and 20% additional off that with twinkle 4141. I already had the donegal pants which fit great, and ordered the herringbone ones for $56; also the herringbone sportcoat for $112 featured here

I just picked up a few things from LEC as well. An oxford shirt, a cardigan, and a couple pairs of pants - we'll see how they fit, I need to replace my favorite pair of khakis, which are absurdly comfortable but fit pretty baggy and have the beginnings of a rip on the knee. They will be relegated to outdoor pants duty if the LEC ones work out. I got some cords in straight fit and khakis in slim fit, so it will be interesting to see which fit (if either) works best. This is the first time I've ordered anything from LEC other than a couple of ties this spring.

I got a couple cotton slub summer shirts, a cardigan, and a pocket square from LEC. I also went back to Brooks Brothers last night and the Shoe Valet was available again, so I got that. That's why I had my parents hold off on my Christmas gift till the after Christmas sales.

Only one Sears in my area carries LE, but it's about 80-90% women's clothes. The men's section consists of one rack, one table, and one shelf. It's pathetic. :-( The only real benefit it provides is convenient returns if something doesn't fit or look as good in person.


BTW, to make the post relevant to a "deals" thread... Banana Republic is running 30% off most items that are already on sale. I picked up a pair of wool pants (that I'm wearing right now) for $50 + tax. The original price was over $100. The sale applies to anything in the clearance section as well as various other sale items throughout the store.
