@steve2: Same email, you have to reply with the models that you are interested in and they'll tell you if it's available. No spreadsheet/listing like before. On that one, how's the sizing on the neumora compared to pa/strands?

@zerostyle: If history repeats itself, the next 2 for 200 should be in November.

Chubbies shorts just came out with new colors (they do somewhat limited runs, and they sell out kind of quickly). $50, so not cheap, but I imagine most people around you won't have a pair.

NB: These are super preppy and lots of you will find them over the top. Which is fine. Sky's out thighs out!

Chubbies may work for some of the younger, fitter guys, but they scream frat boy to me and are cut way too high for modesty IMHO.

Would it be worth it to hold off for the 2 for 200, or pull the trigger on the deal right now.

$150 each is a pretty good deal, if you really want 2 of the shoes that's a pretty good deal. 2 for $200 you probably won't see many of the popular models.

I wouldn't mind black cliftons and neumoras and I would have purchased these if I didn't JUST order chukkas and monks from Herring Shoes...for roughly the same price.

@guilty -- given the fitness thread and (I think) the young guys running around on here, figured I'd pass it along. Even a few years separated from school, I'm relatively fratty/preppy, so having a pair or 2 fits right in my casual attire. Even still, wouldn't wear them to meet the parents or anything. Party shorts mostly.

@hornsup84, No worries man. Whatever floats your boat ... shoes.

How old is the Chubbies brand?

Seems like they took Bonobos business model, diluted it a bit and just used less fabric.

Relatively new, I believe, don't know the exact date. Just some Stanford guys (I think) who decided to start their own company, similar to the Bonobos start. A little frattier athletic sell than Bonobos, which tries to hit the more fashionable athletic crowd.

I'm not struck by any of the AE shoes...maybe the BB line, but I'd have to investigate those.

If these cotton suits are at all decent, they have the potential to be a steal: http://www.josbank.com/menswear/shop/ProductDisplayView?cagpspn=pla&CAWELAID=1095824082 &storeId=11001&productId=336529&CM=GPL&catalogId=1 0050&ddkey=http:JABOrderDetail

Lots of sizes still available and if you buy 2 or more, the price drops to $75 each.

Hmm, tempting, and they say "tailored fit", for whatever that's worth. The shoulders still look a bit too structured for me, and I'm guessing they'll have low armholes.

You know, Jos tends to have HUGE suits, but when I stopped in there to pickup some stuff with the free $20 coupon, I tried on their new "joseph" slim fit jacket. It was surprisingly modern cut. Not the greatest of material, but still pretty inexpensive.
