Any one know whether or not AE usually go on sale during the Nordstrom yearly sale coming up this week? I have been waiting to pick up a pair and this seems like a good time. Also do these sales include in store or normally just online?

I'm fairly certain they have had certain AE shoes on sale previous years (just based on comments around here every once in awhile). I've heard park avenues have gotten down to $200 in the past (among others I assume). No clue about in store vs. online.

Yes, they do discount AE but no all models. The sale is both online and in stores. From Joe's picks last year, there were two AE models included:

They often have 1-3 pairs of AE on sale. Typically its the more experimental styles that AE puts out. I don't call ever seen the Strands/Park Avenues on sale.

Last year it was the Park Avenues, Strands, Player's shoes, and Cliftons. (all in one color only though).
I'll be -really- upset if the PA's aren't on sale this year, since I've been waiting forever for this sale to get em.

I believe more Allen Edmonds shoes will go on sale during their Anniversary Sale which starts mid July. The half yearly sale for men won't have as many popular models on sale.

On topic, I've been waiting for this since after last years sale, I have too many brown shoes, I was thinking of picking up the PAs and Players in black... But the players might have to be brown, they look really good in brown.

@Mike -- it was the AE 2 for $200 deal that nick is talking about. Not 100% as I didn't participate, but I think it was factory/seconds, not firsts.
