I wish i would have seen this when they were on gilt. I have been eyeing them for some time. Considering these LL Bean Signature loafers as a cheaper alternative.

I can tell you for certain even at $200 you won't be disappointed. Definitely Rancourt in my mind after comparing them to my roommates pair.
As far as sizing, I usually range anywhere from 10-11. At the 10 - 10.5 range would be sperry's clarks db/wallabee's. And to the 11 range are my AE & TBNYs. I usually size up in dress shoes for a comfortable fit and so creasing doesn't occur on the cap.
As to the fit here, I went with a 10.5. I was concerned at the time about heel slip as it is a pet peeve of mine with any loafer. And one of the main reasons I size down in sperrys to get a tight fit. The 10.5 provided me with almost a perfect fit. 11 would have been too much shoe. If anything these are a bit loose in the heel, a bit tight in the toe box. Feel free to PM me if you need any more advice.Leave a comment:

I have a pair of Rancourt and from the looks of it, they are exactly the same in terms of construction. Surprisingly I am also the same size as you in AE. My 10.5 Rancourt is perfect with socks and slips a little without. I ordered a pair of 10D in wheat for these. From my experience, CXL is fairly soft and will stretch with wear.Leave a comment:
