Looking at the description on the website, this has been fixed! The new tuxedos have the stripe. Once I get an excuse to wear a tuxedo (living in Dallas, I'm sure I could find some reasons), I'll pick one up for sure haha

btw why do the models not wear belts? Do the trousers not have belt loops/have side tabs? I cant tell from the product pics.

Is there an option to get trousers with side tabs instead of loops?
That's probably a stylistic choice for the photoshoot. However, the blue and green trousers the older model is wearing are the frescos and those come with side adjusters.

I believe all of the suit pants have belt loops unless specifically stated in the 'Finer Details' section. For instance, the full canvas suits specifically state, "Trousers features high rise, side tabs, extended waistband, and single reverse pleats."

I have 3 or 4 suits from S&M and all have belt loops.

Thanks man. I still have a 20% off I can use. I’m waiting until all gifts are delivered for my daughter’s birthday before pulling the trigger.

S&M are also great at helping with fit.. send them an email or call.
Thanks. I did contact them but they asked to check their measurements against JCrew’s, but from experience real-life folks wearing the product normally produces a better assessment for me. All that to say, you guys have been very helpful.

If you want to know exactly how it will fit just measure your J Crew jacket and compare that to the measurements on S&M's website. I'm pretty sure they list specific size guides for all of their items.
Oh, you’re probably spot on with the fit I’m looking for. From reading the great reviews to a good friend of mine raving about S&M, I’m ready to take the plunge on a suit. Thanks a ton for the response.

Why wouldn’t you make the tuxedo trouser with the stripe?!
Yes, please put piping on these. I understand why though as it would be impossible to sell the excess on their own.

    Pre-orders?

I saw an ad for pre-orders being available on Spier and MacKay.

But, when I go to the website, there is nothing new. Is this a hidden section or just not available yet?

So, any insight as to what fun items may be on the docket for Spring? (Yeah, I know. January 3rd, and already I'm thinking about Spring.) Would love to see a grey & white stripe seersucker suit, or a linen shirt jacket or safari jacket, or denim. White denim. Ok, so this is all just my own wish list. Anyone else have something they wish Spier & Mackay would produce?
