burnished toe/heel monk strap suede shoes (brown) yes or no?

I recently purchased a pair of Cole Haan Air Winslow Monk Straps in brown suede. The shoe has burnishing on the toe and heel. I really bought these because I live in WI and they are waterproof for the winter/spring. I can't decide if the burnishing thing is cool or cheezwhiz. Any ideas?

I personally like some burnishing, as long as it isn't crazy overboard(like half the shoe). I own a pair of Magnanni Federico's with burnishing at the tip and it seems to make the shoe more versatile, able to wear it with different shades of brown.

I don't like burnishing on suede shoes. Just looks dirty.

I'd have to look up a picture, but with suede I'm inclined to agree with Jason. Depends on the shade of brown I suppose.

I agree with JC. Either it looks like you're trying too hard or it looks messy (or both).

I'm not crazy about burnishing, either. It reminds me of jeans that come pre-ripped.
