I should have mentioned i'm not considering buying them, they just caught my eye as interesting, mostly because i've not seen the black/natural combination before and my first thought was McTavish. They are pretty out there for sure. I found them because another site recommended the tans for a travel shoe.
I have a pair of AE Westchester loafers in black that I got from the eBayer Hitch-n-post. I think I spent $50 on them. I've worn them only once or twice. A black loafer is a pretty impractical shoe IMO as there's not a lot it naturally goes with. I've kept mine because I actually really like the shape, but I honestly don't really know how to wear them. For a supposed "wardrobe essential" it goes with surprisingly little.
