    Made to Measure in NYC

    Hi all:

Can anyone share any recent experiences with MTM in New York City? I tried Indochino and had some minor issues with the results. I probably could have overcome those except for major customer service issues and, after basically wasting $400 with them, won't be ordering again. I haven't been able to find an off-the-rack brand that can be tailored for a reasonable amount (6'1", 180lbs, wide shoulders, narrow chest and waist that causes puckering in the chest).

Google returns an overwhelmingly large number of hits for 'MTM NYC.' I recently stopped by MySuit (http://mysuitny.com/website/default.aspx), Suit Supply (http://us.suitsupply.com), and Louis Purple (http://www.louispurple.com/en/). MySuit is the cheapest of the three, but Louis Purple seems to have the best pre-alteration fit. Suit Supply is a bit limited on options (e.g., they don't offer partial or no lining options with the "London" fit, and the other style has a very high button stance that doesn't work with my shape).

Before I jumped in, I wanted to check if anyone had any recent experiences, or could recommend another place.

    Thanks!

I had one. This had to do with Hiras Fashion, I was very sure that they said it was made to measure . The end product was a bit off good thing they offered alteration until I'm satisfied with the fit. I had a few suits with MySuit and they were rather "Ok" than good.

I haven't tried him, but I have a friend who has been using Mr Ned for several years now: http://mrnednyc.com/
Here's an article where my friend is actually quoted: http://observer.com/2010/03/the-boys-of-bespoke/

I like what I've done by Vijay at http://www.custommen.com/ Terrible website, but they did a solid job on my suits.
