    My guess would be tie pin. I don't wear them, and as far as I know few people do these days, but it essentially works like a tie bar or tie chain, in that it's some means of keeping your tie from flying around. It's not worn much due to the fact that when you put one on you need to do it with great care to minimize the chance that you'll damage the tie, because it is a pin that goes through the tie.

    I have a few. Tie pins, not ladybugs, I mean. I had them when I was a young little twerp. I haven't worn one in many years. And they most certainly poke holes in your ties.

    The tie bar is of course the popular choice these days. But there was a time when the pin was in, and the chain was the thang. (not sure why I just did that - ah well)

    I think the bar definitely looks better, but if you dig the pin look, you can just use magnets now instead of the pin.
