    JCrew Mayfair Topcoat

I am moving to the Midwest in a few months and have been looking to get some nice outerwear on sale. I was lookin through JCrew's sale section and came across the Mayfair Topcoat. I am wondering if anyone has one that could comment on the fit. I have the Thompson in 42R, but I wear a 44 in the ludlow. Any help is appreciated.

I would go with your measurements on the Ludlow. Really great fitting coat. Form fitting, but not tight or skinny.

@zxu426- What size do you have? Could you do me a favor and post the shoulder measurements? I called customer service about the slim university coat and the medium measures the same size as my large ludlow blazer.

Plus it's final sale and I don't want to get stuck with the wrong size.

I wear a 36S Ludlow and have the Mayfair in 36. Shoulders are comparable.

Are you able to wear the Mayfair over a blazer?

Yes, I was able to wear the harvest herringbone sportcoat underneath with a button down shirt underneath. Suit jackets will fit without any problems. If your jacket fits too snug though, the coat will not slip on as easily.
