Would you say these XS's are comparable to a size 36?

No. XS jackets are more fitted than the 36 at the shoulders and around the waist. I can layer an OCBD and lambswool sweater under the 36 and still be fine, but not under the XS.

FYI I'm 5'9"-5'10", 140 lbs, and the jackets fit fine with a sport shirt and merino sweater underneath.

Do you have any measurements? Looking specifically at the chest on that Japanese twill jacket.

All measurements are approximate. For the Japanese twill jacket:

Shoulder to shoulder measured from back: 16.5 in.
Pit to pit measured from front: 18.5 in.
Length from end of collar to end of jacket measured from back: 28.5 in.
Sleeve length from shoulder to end of sleeve: 24 in.

How dark is the navy on that Japanese twill jacket? I checked out the pictures on J Crew but it looked awfully dark. May have just been my screen though.

I have photos uploaded if you follow the link to my original posting on Styleforum. The color of the jacket is hard to describe. I'd say navy-grey.
