As discussed on here by Joe. I'm looking for a casual navy blazer to wear with chinos and jeans. Not for work. Should I be going for something with more sheen? Does the Birdseye texture work for my needs? Any other recs?
I think that blazer looks really nice. I love its slightly textured, matte look and I think it would pair very well with chinos or jeans (or cords, or wool pants, or...). Then again, I generally have a prejudice against shiny clothes anyway.
I saw it in store the other day and I think it's perfect for that use. It has texture to it and even elbow patches (though they do not contrast). I'm really hoping it comes back in stock on my size.
In what world is that navy? Damned if I don't love that fabric, though. Can't get passed the elbow patches. Would probably be difficult to dress up for that reason. Casually though I'd prefer this to a linen or plain-weave cotton jacket.
